Montblanc Bohème event Beijing

Montblanc celebrated the glamour, self-confidence and style of the Bohème Lady with the global launch of new timepieces from its Bohème Collection. The event at the Phoenix Center in Beijing, was attended by Zhang Zilin, Xue Xiaolu and Jeanette Aw, three outstanding women who perfectly embody the elegance and spirit of today’s Bohème Lady. This elegant celebration marked Montblanc’s third launch of novelties from the Bohème Collection, as well as the addition of the Maison’s exclusive in-house patented ExoTourbillon to the women's collection for the first time.

Beijing Design Week (BJDW)  returns every year at the end of September and throughout the October National Holiday to enliven China’s capital with a unique  city-wide series of initiatives celebrating creativity and innovation from the design field at large.

2015 Program Framework : ‘’DESIGN FOR CHINA’’. Design HOP – Program Highlights. Design HOP is a city-wide program of exhibitions, installations, pop-ups, workshops, seminars, and lectures that activates a contextualized dialogue between iconic areas of the Chinese capital and creative initiatives envisioning new meanings for the public role of design in generating a contemporary urbanity.

BJDW Design HOP has come to spread across 4 municipal districts and areas include: Dashilar, Baitasi, Indigo, Parkview Green, Dongcheng District Hub, 751 & 798 Art and Design District, Beijing Institute of Fashion and Technology Park, China Millennium Monument, Gehua Tower. 

M.PATMOS VINCE LA FINALE FEMMINILE DELL'INTERNATIONAL WOOLMARK PRIZE‏

M. Patmos è stata proclamata vincitrice dell’International Woolmark Prize 2015 , durante l’evento di premiazione tenutosi a Beijing.

Una giuria d’eccezione che include l’importante stilista ed icona di stile Victoria Beckham e Angelica Cheung, direttrice di Vogue China, affiancate dai rappresentanti dei partner retail dell’IWP hanno decretato vincitrice M.Patmos, rappresentante per l’USA. 

Victoria Beckham ha dichiarato: “The International Woolmark Prize da un’incredibile opportunità ai talenti emergenti di tutto il mondo. Sono molto emozionata di essere qui a Beijing ed essere parte di questo importante evento. Sono convinta che M. Patmos rappresenti al meglio ciò che il premio di The Woolmark Company voglia simboleggiare. La collezione era sapientemente costruita e il concept estremamente interessante”.

Colin McDowell, fashion commentator/giornalista e membro della prestigiosa giuria, ha dichiarato: “ Ho pensato che si trattasse di una collezione molto sofisticata che ha avuto il merito di utilizzare la lana Merino per rendere gli abiti eleganti ma dallo spirito giovane”.

Dopo una ricerca globale che ha coinvolto 21 nazioni e più di 60 stilisti, gli altri 4 talenti selezionati da ogni parte del mondo sono stati eliminati durante un’intensa sessione di giudizio: Augustin Teboul dall’ europa, V Major dalla China, STRATEAS.CARLUCCI dall’ Australia e Bird on a Wire dal Libano.

In aggiunta al prezioso riconoscimento, il vincitore riceve un contributo finanziario di AU$100,000 e l’opportunità di vendere la sua collezione nei più importanti retailer di tutto il mondo inclusi Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, 10 Corso Como, JOYCE, Isetan Mitsukoshi, David Jones and Mytheresa.com.

Marcia Patmos ha dichiarato: “Voglio ringraziare The Woolmark Company per avere creato questo importante contest a supporto di tutti i giovani designers emergenti. Sono davvero emozionata di vedere ciò che mi aspetterà in seguito a questa fantastica opportunità che mi è stata data”.
