Anna Dello Russo conceived a volcanic event in three acts promoted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, that took the audience by storm during Milan Fashion Week.
The whole opus revolved around Anna’s extensive fashion archive: a treasure. She has dismantled her archive, documenting it – in non-orthodox, amusing ways – in a book, and selling the actual pieces through an auction.
The event opened with the Christie’s auction, hosted by Place Vendôme Qatar. Thirty full outfits from Anna Dello Russo’s extensive archive of religiously kept hi-impact outfits, dating from 1985 to the present time, were the subject of the auction, that featured a catwalk show with models like Jasmine Sanders, Izabel Goulart, Maria Borges, Cindy Bruna, Caroline Vreeland, Hailey Baldwin among the others. Anna Dello Russo opened the show wearing a Redemption pink gazar gown and a Gareth Pugh one-off hat, especially customized with Swarovski crystals for the auction. All the revenues, which scored 147.000 Euro, were devolved to the Swarovski Foundation Scholarship Program, an organization devoted to sustaining young fashion talents of the future.
The auction was followed by an exclusive dinner, hosted by Nadja Swarovski, and a lavish party offered by Ms. Nga Nguyen.
