The Sally LaPointe Spring 2019 Collection was presented Tuesday, September 11th at 11am in New York in Gallery I at Spring Studios. The set design featured oversized semi-sheer black flags that rotated in unison with the music, produced by Javier Peral. The collection focused on a variety of fabrications that came together in monochromatic looks, a LaPointe staple, in a progression of khaki, peach, magenta, acid-wash grey, and navy. The one point of variation from the monochromatic theme came in the form of metallic plaid executed in both printed metallic foil and in a fully hand embroidered sequin skirt with beaded fringe. Further textural elements appeared throughout the collection as pops of fox fur, as marabou feathers on a cropped jacket and again in a cashmere sweater, and in high-shine vinyl coats.
Notable guests included Olivia Palermo, Halston Sage, Cara Santana, Peta Murgatroyd, TK Wonder, Cipriana Quann, Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo and Darcy Penick, and Net-a-Porter’s Elizabeth Von der Goltz, Holly Russel, and Lisa Aiken.
