Gurls Talk host its first ever event in London in partnership with New York fashion house Coach, and supported byDazed. The day-long festival of female empowerment offered girls a safe and inspiring environment to be heard and to listen, with over 700 girls attending the event.

The free, open-admission event, was kick-started with a discussion on the importance of safe space for girls, mental health issues and female empowerment by Gurls Talk founder and model-activist Adwoa Aboah, and was followed by an action-packed day of talks, workshops and pop-ups. Speakers included intersex advocate and model Hanne Gaby Odiele, feminist columnist and author Laurie Penny, and Professor KM Abel. Alongside the panel, there was a programme of workshops including a movement workshop led by Studio Wayne McGregor,a healing workshop hosted by Dr. Lauren Hazzouriin addition to a Claire De Rouenlibrary, a Coach Dream Monogramming Station, a photo studio and much more. The event was also attended by Laura Bailey, Grace Wales Bonner, Serena Rees and Andr Balazs.
