The Hermès Kelly was born as a saddle bag for the Knights, was later designed by Robert Dumas in 1930 to become an object of female desire. Trapezoidal in shape, has a rigid bottom and a closure system of belts. Initially interpreted as a travel bag, is provided with a lock to be locked. A photo published by Life magazine in 1958, portrays the Princess Grace of Monaco as he tries to hide her pregnancy behind a large model of a Hermès handbag. So, it was born a legend.
La Kelly di Hermès, nata come borsa da sella per i cavalieri, fu poi disegnata da Robert Dumas,
nel 1930 fino a diventare un oggetto del desiderio femminile. Di forma
trapezoidale, ha un fondo rigido e un sistema di chiusura a cinghie.
Inizialmente interpretata come una borsa da viaggio, è provvista di una
serratura per chiuderla a chiave. Una foto pubblicata dalla rivista
americana Life, nel 1958, ritrae la Principessa Grace di Monaco
mentre cerca di nascondere la sua gravidanza dietro un grande modello
di borsa Hermès.
