RE/DONE, known for creating sustainable fashion through heritage brands, partners with The Attico, Italian luxury label designed by tastemakers, Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini. The collaboration brings together two brands who are, on the surface, very different, but who share a passion for taking the old and making it new again. The final product is elevated, circular fashion that pays tribute to the decades of the 70s and 80s with unconventional details and hints of glamour. The collaboration is set to launch in mid-May 2019.
RE/DONE founders Sean Barron and Jamie Mazur were introduced to The Attico duo at an event in Paris. “We had an instant connection with Gilda and Giorgia,” says Sean. “The quick friendship unfolded organically. Both of our brands are inspired by vintage designs and we knew right away that we wanted to create something cool together.”
The next time The Attico girls were in Los Angeles, they dropped by the RE/DONE studio to say hello, and the collaboration began to take shape naturally. With a shared heritage of vintage roots, a tour of rag houses in downtown Los Angeles was the perfect place to start. While shopping, the team came across incredible vintage dresses from the 70s and 80s that they brought back to the studio to play around with. Without a plan, they began to cut into the garments and ultimately tailored them into a few different modern shapes.
“We wanted to explore our passion for vintage from a different perspective. This collaboration with RE/DONE gave us the opportunity to work with real vintage pieces in order to keep the authenticity of the product” Giorgia and Gilda shared. “We love the idea that our customers will own unique pieces that we reworked personally injecting our feminine touch. It was fun to add crystals, bows, crop the hoodies, drape denim pants into miniskirts, give cargo pants a sexy look. We envisioned a new different woman from the one that we usually reference with our own brand. RE/DONE x The Attico universe takes shape out in the streets of Los Angeles, one of our favorite places to go for inspiration and which we feel very close to.”
The majority of the collection is made from repurposed vintage pieces. Thus, no two items are exactly alike. Consisting of up-cycled floral dresses, reconstructed vintage Levi’s encrusted with Swarovski crystal tiger print, tailored cargos and 1970’s inspired graphic tees, the collection is a celebration of circular fashion and the vibrant aesthetic of classically effortless Los Angeles.
RE/DONE x The Attico will be available from mid-May at Matchesfasion.com, Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette Champs Elysees, Antonia Milano, Barneys New York and shopredone.com.

The Attico, Italian for penthouse, is a collection of artisanal pieces, designed to be flaunted. With a nod to the classic peignoir, each piece embodies a woman from a different city, modern muses with nostalgic cigarette taste. Vintage furniture inspires its lavish materials, rich color palettes and ornate embroidery, reinventing the idea of opulence. Effortlessly, each piece carries an air of attitude and confidence, defining how to make thrown together appear dressed up, dressed up feel every day, and how to make every entrance feel like the entrance.
